1. Why copper?

Copper is a time proven metal that doesn't rust or corrode. There are 400 year old copper roofs that are still performing today.

2. Will the patina change color over time?

The shingle will continue to weather and color change will vary depending on temperature, humidity and sun exposure. Regions with higher humidity tend to turn copper green, while regions with lower humidity will produce various shades of brown (i.e., Florida will be green, the Rockies will be brown). Your sales representative will discuss with you treatment options to maintain your desired patina.

Generally a copper roof needs little maintenance, however, proper snow and ice removal is required to avoid damage from sliding ice and ice damming.

5. What do I need to get a quote or place an order?

In order to provide an accurate quote, we need one set of architectural plans - roof plan and elevations, along with your shingle style and material preference. If you are unsure of the material best suited for your project, feel free to rely on the experience of our sales department for suggestions.

6. Why is copper so expensive?

Copper is actually less expensive than any other roofing material when you consider the life cycle costing of your roof. Compared to asphaltic or another synthetic roofing material, a copper roof will be the only roof required during the entire life of your structure. Contact your local sales representative for more details.
